The IEEE IoT Smart City Summit Series
The IEEE IoT Smart City Summit Series of events will provide a pragmatic platform for sharing and partnerships on the topic of smart cities, led by the IEEE IoT Initiative.
The series will develop an “all-year round” approach to building a stakeholder network across regions and globally, in order to share best practices and issues, and develop collaboration between government, industry, research and academia, where IEEE plays the role of agent and broker across the Smart City ecosystem. Verticals will be and horizontals will be defined from a “people-centric” and regional perspective.
Sessions will be founded on pilots, projects and research that have been trialled and tested in real scenarios, discussing strategies, use cases and best practices, with a focus on the effects that technology is having and can have on creating improved urban efficiencies, better social well-being and growth in local economies (see the “Program” section for more details).
